French Onion Pork Chops

EQUIPMENT

  • 9×13 pan
  • Rubber spatula
  • tin foil

INGREDIENTS  

  • 1-1/2 pounds boneless pork chops, thin cut
  • 12 ounces sour cream
  • 1 ounce package French Onion dip mix, Lipton
  • 6 ounces Crispy Fried Onions

INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. 
  2. Lay the pork chops on the bottom of the 9×13 pan, touching but not overlapping as much as possible. 
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream and onion dip mix to create french onion dip. Spread evenly over the pork chops using a rubber spatula, being sure to cover entirely so no portions of meat are exposed. 
  4. Sprinkle crispy fried onions over the top in an even layer. 
  5. Cover the dish with tinfoil and bake for 30 minutes. 

NOTES

Helpful tips 

There is no need to preseason the pork chops with this recipe as the onion dip mix adds plenty of flavor. A 4 ingredient, 30-minute dish is perfect for a large family or last-minute company. Serve with vegetables, mashed potatoes, a side salad, and/or of course applesauce.
